I love to help people. When I was on a two year mission in South Africa, I discovered a few things. I love to help people. When I was on a two year mission in South Africa, I discovered a few things. First, there were a lot of people that struggled with the basics in school, especially math which was a big stress to the kids and their parents. Second, because they didn't understand it in class, they just assumed they weren't good at it. I found that wasn't true, they just needed a different view. Having enjoyed and excelled at math, and school in general, my whole life, I would often volunteer to help tutor the kids in math. As I worked with them, I realized that, third, I love to help and to teach people. It's amazing when they have that "a-ha" moment when it clicks. I love helping them understand the "why" behind concepts so they will be well equipped to answer any questions they face. I also love building confidence and helping the people I work with see that they are capable of doing anything they set their mind to, as long as they're willing to work at it.
As for me, I am currently working as an aerospace engineer at Johns Hopkins after finishing my Aeronautical and Astronautical graduate degree at Purdue University after completing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University. I have always loved math and science and hope to help people do the same.
If you are struggling with understanding, application, or anything else, I would love to come and lend a hand! Feel free to contact me, I am relatively flexible and will be able to work around your schedule. Let me know!
