I am a practicing mathematician and physicist with experience helping students from around the world to overcome obstacles in their learning: from tricky concepts, to finding confidence, to language barriers. I believe math and physics can make sense to anyone, and I have the tools to help you get there.

I am a practicing mathematician and physicist with experience helping students from around the world to overcome obstacles in their learning: from tricky concepts, to finding confidence, to language barriers. I believe math and physics can make sense to anyone, and I have the tools to help you get there.
After completing my physics degree at the University of Chicago, I spent a year as a Peace Corps volunteer teaching Math and English in Lesotho. Since then, I have been researching computational fluid dynamics and tutoring. Over the last 5 years, I've tutored and taught hundreds of hours of physics and math from the elementary-school level to quantum mechanics.
I've worked with children, with undergrads, and with grad students. I also have experience working with students who have learning disabilities (including dyslexia, dyscalculia, and ADHD). I'm comfortable working at your pace and taking time to help you find *your* way.
I take an approach focused on deep understanding and solving interesting problems together, not drilling or cramming. Our lessons will feel more like conversations than lectures, and I'll give you the wheel as often as possible. If we work online, we'll use tools like Desmos and Idroo to work together and help visualize the math.
Feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a session. I look forward to working together!
