Graduate Mechanical Engineer who loves teaching!

Hello! I am a nuclear engineering graduate from Purdue University, who is currently completing his Master's in mechanical engineering. I love teaching and hope to become a college professor one day, and that has lead me here! I have had the pleasure of being a Teaching Assistant in classes, tutoring other students, and even helping tutor my younger siblings through years of school. I am quite proficient in math subjects all the way from algebra through calculus, linear algebra and differential equations. I also am quite proficient in physics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, coding, and other STEM related fields!

I have a firm belief that the way that subjects are taught strongly impacts student understanding. Providing an engaging experience where students have the freedom to explore, try, ask questions, and make mistakes is all part of the learning experience. Theory should be taught alongside examples, and learners should have an active role in their own learning. All of that comes into the style in which I tutor with! I will bring planned resources to lessons, but am willing to modify or pivot to meet a particular learner's needs.

When I was a TA for my recent fluid mechanics class, I often had plenty of students work through homework and exam problems with me in office hours, asking questions of why, discussing examples, and attempting to find understanding themselves. After the class was over, plenty of students thanked me for being engaging in those settings, as well as being an informative and helpful lecturer. If you can't tell from this blurb, I LOVE teaching, and am so looking forward to working with new potential learners!
