I’m Isak! A first-year medical student at Indiana University School of Medicine, and I’ve always enjoyed working with other students and helping them feel more confident in their classes. Throughout courses like organic chemistry, anatomy, and other science-heavy subjects, I’ve spent a lot of time in study groups where I naturally took on the role of explaining concepts and walking people through problems. Those experiences made me realize how much I enjoy tutoring and being able to support others academically.
When I teach, I focus on breaking things down into clear, manageable steps and adjusting my approach based on how each student learns. Everyone processes information differently, so I take the time to understand your thought process and explain things in a way that fits you. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, working through mistakes, and leaving sessions feeling more confident in your understanding.
I’ve also worked in both hospital and educational settings with people of all ages, which has helped me develop strong communication skills and connect with a wide range of learners. I would describe myself as patient, encouraging, and easy to talk to, and I try to create a supportive and low-pressure environment during sessions.
As I continue through medical school, tutoring is a meaningful way for me to support myself while continuing to help others succeed. I genuinely care about making each session helpful and worthwhile, and I’m committed to helping you build both your understanding and confidence over time.
If you’re interested in working together, feel free to reach out to schedule a session or ask any questions about my background, teaching style, or the subjects I cover. I’d be happy to connect and see how I can help!
