Tutoring Experience:
I have been tutoring for a very long time. Not only have I worked with Elementary, Middle, High School, and College students, I have helped them get tremendous results. My tutoring has been both in-person and online, and I have held bootcamps for reviewing AP classes or SAT Math sections. I am also a Teaching Assistant at Purdue, thus I have got to work with students directly on multiple topics.
Teaching Style:
I firmly believe that students need two things: confidence and agency. They should be confident to tackle real-world problems and succeed at whatever they want, but also agency so they can have some sort of independence. Meeting them where they're at, active participation, conceptual feedback, repetitions, and building a strong, conceptual understanding are all techniques that I use.
Past tutoring accomplishments:
I have accomplished a lot and my students have seen huge improvements. They became more confident in solving problems and learned enough agency to tackle difficult problems on their own. One my past students was placed on academic probation and I was appointed to guide him. After meeting him where he was at, and helping him with my framework, he became an honors student and greatly improved his methods.
