I’m Trazigate, a graduate student in Civil Engineering at Purdue University, specializing in Hydraulics and Hydrology. My academic journey has equipped me with a strong background in mathematics, physics, engineering, and data analysis, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Throughout my studies, I’ve applied these skills to both research and practical problem-solving, which gives me a solid foundation to help students understand concepts at both the high school and college level.
I have tutoring and teaching experience working with high school and college students in both one-on-one and classroom settings. At Purdue, I served as a Teaching Assistant, where I supported undergraduates with lectures, assignments, and labs. In this role, I learned how to explain complex concepts step by step, adapt lessons to different learning styles, and provide extra support for students who needed it most. I also have informal tutoring experience helping peers and younger students prepare for math and science exams, reinforcing fundamentals while building confidence.
My teaching approach is interactive and flexible. I like to begin with clear explanations, connect ideas to real-world examples, and then provide structured practice so students can apply what they’ve learned. I’ve worked with learners ranging from high school Algebra students to college-level engineering majors, and I always tailor lessons to individual goals, whether that’s improving grades, preparing for standardized tests, or building long-term academic skills. My goal is to create a positive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and celebrating progress.
