Hi everyone! My name is Jordan, and I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Physics with a focus in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. My passion for mathematics has driven my academic journey, leading me to excel in every math class I’ve taken. I achieved top scores on both AP Calculus exams and have successfully completed advanced courses up to Differential Equations. My degree path reflects my deep interest in math and its applications in various fields.

I bring a year of tutoring experience from high school, where I provided one-on-one lessons in Physics I. I helped a fellow student understand topics like kinematics, Newton’s laws, conservation of energy, and rotational motion. My approach involved explaining complex mathematical concepts in a way that was easy to grasp, which resulted in improved exam performance.

I am dedicated to sharing my love for math with students who need extra support. My goal is to help every student succeed by tailoring my teaching methods to their individual needs. I am open to using creative learning techniques to ensure the best outcomes for my students. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a session!

Approved Subjects

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

In high school, I finished at the top of my class in Algebra 1, and continue to use these topics in my coursework on a day to day basis. Each course I take has some ties to algebra 1, such as solving quadratic/linear equations, systems of equations, and exponents. I have also taken several high-level math courses that require extensive knowledge of Algebra 1, and have gotten high grades in all of them.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I have taken several higher level math and physics courses, all of which include topics from algebra 2, especially complex numbers, solving various equations, and sequences/series. In addition, I finished Algebra 2 with an A+, one of the highest in my class.
Calculus

Calculus

As a physics student at Purdue, I use Calculus topics in every single course, and have been using them for the last five years. I scored a 5 on both AP Calculus exams, and have taken several higher level math courses that employ various Calculus topics, such as complex derivatives and integrals, infinite series, and differential equations. I have scored at least a B+ in every single class I have taken that uses calculus to explain other subjects.
Physics

Physics

I am currently studying Applied Physics at Purdue, and have been taking physics courses for over 4 years. In addition, I received a 5 on both AP Physics C exams. I have experience in many different physics subjects, including but not limited to: Newton's Laws, Kinematics, Rotational motion, DC/AC circuits, Magnetism, Oscillations, and Quantum Science. Finally, I have a year's worth of tutoring physics from when I was in high school.
