Hello! My name is Kyle, and I tutor math for middle school, high school, and early college students. I graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Computer Science with Honors. During my degree, I co-authored a research paper on large language models that was accepted to the International Conference on Software Engineering and later published in a peer-reviewed journal. These experiences strengthened my analytical thinking and ability to break down complex ideas—skills that directly shape how I teach math.

My tutoring experience includes both online and in-person work. I have helped middle and high school students online in Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, and general study skills. In college, I provided in-person tutoring to classmates and peers in algebra, calculus, and coding courses, guiding them through exam preparation and conceptual understanding. Several students improved their grades by full letter levels and, more importantly, gained confidence in tackling challenging problems. My own experiences learning complex concepts help me break ideas down clearly and guide students patiently, supporting them step by step as they build understanding and confidence.

I focus on breaking problems into clear, manageable steps, reinforcing conceptual understanding, and ensuring students grasp the “why” behind each procedure. My goal is not only to help students succeed in their current class but to build a strong foundation that will support long-term learning.
