Hello there!
My name is Alex, and I am a 24 year old process engineer at a pharmaceutical company! I am looking to tutor students from 5th grade - college students on different math and science courses. I have a bachelors degree in chemical engineering from Purdue University that I earned two years ago. I also have an associates degree in Chemistry I earned at Vincennes University.
My mother is a teacher (4th grade), and I have plenty of experience helping her students understand their math problems (fractions, basic multiplication and division). I have also helped younger students (in college and high school) solve difficult homework problems and create problem solving strategies for long, difficult test. The subjects I’ve helped with include but are not limited to: chemistry 1, chemistry 2, organic chemistry, physics, chemical engineering, fluid mechanics, algebra 1, algebra 2, geometry, calculus (1, 2, and 3), differential equations, and linear algebra.
I like to help people learn by creating a problem strategy. In my experience, looking at a problem and mapping out the steps to solve it makes them easier to complete. I think creating a problem solving strategy gives students a great base to build off of for any future problem solving!
Please feel free to reach out! I’d love to help out with study strategies, test questions, and homework problems!
