As a professor who has taught organic chemistry many times, I am in an excellent position to help you be successful in the course. I understand the material very well and have spent a lot of time thinking about how to best explain it. I will help you understand which details are critically important and help make connections between the various course concepts so that you can better organize and rationalize the course material. I can provide practice problems and solutions in addition to detailed course notes.

I received my Ph.D. in organic chemistry from a Top 10 chemistry graduate program. While there, I won a departmental teaching award and took classes specifically focused on chemistry education. I then took a job at a small liberal arts university where I have taught organic chemistry to undergraduates for almost 20 years. I value the interactions I have with students and enjoy helping them succeed and meet their goals. My teaching evaluations are consistently high student (>4.5/5) and I have won my University's highest teaching award.
