Hello everyone! My name is Karis, I have been tutoring online, and in-person for about 4 years. I have my TESOL certificate, and taught English as a second language on Preply for over a year. My specialties are Math and English, I have a math minor, and have taking many writing classes. I also have experience preparing students for tests - whether ACT or SAT. My teaching style is fun yet productive. I expect students to do their own work, and complete the tasks assigned to them. However, I am constantly coming up with ways to make the learning more palatable. I frequently explain not only how something works - but why it works. It's historical context, or ways it can be used in real life. It is important to me, that my students retain the information they are given and can use it to draw on throughout their life.
