Hello everyone! My name is Karis, I have been tutoring online, and in-person for about 4 years. I have my TESOL certificate, and taught English as a second language on Preply for over a year. My teaching style is fun yet productive. I expect students to do their own work, and complete the tasks assigned to them. However, I will often explain not only how something works - but why it works; It's historical context, or ways it can be used in real life. It is important to me, that my students retain the information they are given and can use it to draw on throughout their life.
I do request that people interested in hiring me as a tutor respond in a way that gives me at least 24 hrs. notice, as there are many people looking for tutors on this platform, and it becomes difficult for tutors to schedule lessons or be available if requests are made at the last minute. It also gives me time to better prepare my lesson, so that you, or your child/student get the best service possible.
