I was born and raised in a small town in Indiana and I graduated with my Academic Honors diploma in 2007. That fall I attended Indiana State University in Terre Haute. I started my undergraduate as an Elementary Education major. I stayed in the major for two years until I volunteered for the Vigo County Parks Departments after school program.

During this program I was able to connect with children on a deeper level and help them with their problems in school and at home. I quickly learned that my presence was needed outside of the classroom and not just inside. I graduated in 2011 with a Bachelors Degree in Recreation and Sports Management.

From an early age I struggled in school. As early as fourth grade I can remember my mom getting me a tutor. All I needed was a little extra help and once I had someone there it was like a light bulb turning on in my head. I know what it's like for a child to struggle and I hope that I can help someone the way my tutor helped me.

Along with my degree in Recreation and Sport Management I also got a minor in reading from Indiana State University. I received this minor during my two years as an Elementary Education major.

I was an Elementary Education major for two years while I attended Indiana State University. I also worked for 3 years at a before and after school care in Brownsburg. During this program I helped children with their homework each night.

I am an energetic and creative person with a passion for helping children. I know first hand how beneficial tutoring can be and I can't wait to put the fun back in learning!
