I am a 2004 graduate of Bethel College with a 3.78 GPA. I majored in writing and communications. I am an excellent tutor in general studies subjects. I tutored freshman college students at Iniana University in South Bend and feel I can offer your child a good basis for his future learning and development. A student I tutored as a freshman went on to write a science fiction novel. I am a published poet and am in the process of writing two books.I believe students need tutoring because they did not master learning concepts at the elementary school level. I begin with the vocabulary of any subject. Once a student knows and understands the concept of a subject, then he/ she will have no problem mastering the subject. I follow this with repetitive practice sessions on each phase of the subject.It is through repetition that we learn. Tests and quizzes are not designed as a punishment, but as a tool which allows the student to learn what he does not know.Tutoring focuses on strengthening what the student does not know. I have extensive experience with children of all ages in various capacities including special needs.I look forward to hearing from you.
