My name is Darin and I've been involved in education for the better part of the last 20 years. I have experience teaching several history courses including AP as well as multiple facets of English/Language Arts. I have a background in Psychology and biochemistry and I'm a pretty good hand with math as well, so I'm happy to help you just about anywhere you need. I've tutored in a variety of subjects and am comfortable in most environments, so let's get learning!
I enjoy drawing, blacksmithing, reading, and video games as some of my main hobbies and am a father of 5 amazing kids. I've lived in South Bend for over a year now and before that taught in Nevada for several years. I'm pretty much an open book and really enjoy helping kids succeed in school and advance through life. I look forward to being your tutor!

I have a broad, versatile vocabulary. I am well-read and actively teach ELA 10 and have taught ELA 9 and 12. I read often and teach reading comprehension skills to my students every year. Proofreading is a specialty of mine as I am actively a Beta-Reader for several authors and part of my job is to catch errors and improve the flow of their writing.
