While I enjoy the classroom setting, I believe I help a student or client most by working with them one on one to improve their communication or writing. My writing classes were always conducted as workshops so that I could help students individually.

I obtained my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in English with a focus on language. My expertise in English ranges from the finer points of punctuation, grammar, syntax to writing sentences, paragraphs, topic sentences, thesis statements and essays. I assist with writer's block, brainstorming and organizing thoughts. In my most recent corporate job, my company employed both Spanish-speaking and Japanese-speaking individuals. Because of my background, I conducted conversation classes to help these non-native speakers improve their abilities to communicate within our manufacturing setting. I am currently pursuing my certificate in teaching English as a foreign language.

I spent several years working for a career transition company where I personally coached over 500 clients in the career transition and development process. As part of the process, I helped the client identify their strengths, and what type of job they wanted.
