Greetings, my name is Phillip. I have had the pleasure of teaching and tutoring kids of all backgrounds and ethnicities. I have a Bachelor's degree in Theology from Concordia University Wisconsin, a Minor in Biblical Languages (Greek, Hebrew, and Latin), and I have also completed their Director of Church Ministries certification program. I am currently working on completing my TEFL certification.
I currently tutor special needs children every day in person one on one, and I am also the parent of a special needs child, and have hundreds of hours of classroom experience with him, so I understand the struggles and needs of both parents and children with special needs. I have substitute taught grades K-12 for the last three school years in our parish schools, and this has given me wonderful experience working with children of all capabilities.
In June of 2024, I studied abroad in Germany, where i studied church history and its impact on education today, and in July of 2025, I was able to teach English in the Czech Republic to Czech and Polish children. I love languages and am currently working on new languages, including German, Spanish, and some other Central European languages. During my undergraduate studies, I was able to focus on subjects beyond theology, including philosophy, art history, literature, and Western culture and civilization.
My goal with any student is to give them the tools to become active, productive, and successful students. I like to challenge my students to think and use, and discover the resources they have available to them. I do focus heavily on a classical education that incorporates technology as a valuable learning tool. Students should become lifelong learners, and I look forward to working with your child to help them achieve their learning goals.
