Hi! I'm Kellie. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a major in elementary education and a minor in business. Upon graduation, I immediately began teaching in a second-grade position in North Carolina and tutoring after school hours. After being married for a couple of years, my husband and I started a family, and I had the wonderful opportunity to stay home with my children and homeschool all six of them for preschool. When I returned to the teaching profession, I taught kindergarten in Minnesota, then two years of third grade and fourth grade in Virginia, and most recently, I taught four years of middle school science. Every year, I have offered tutoring services to students in my school over the summer break. Most of my tutoring has been in the areas of reading and math. I particularly enjoy helping a student find their "ah-ha" moment, which is when a particularly difficult concept suddenly makes sense. I enjoy tutoring all ages of students and have also tutored online in our post-COVID world. I look forward to having the opportunity to help your student find their "ah-ha" moment!
