Hi, I'm Caley and excel at teaching the "littles"! Teaching reading and math to young students who are struggling or need some extra support is a passion of mine. I graduated with honors with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I later received my Master's degree in Education as well with a focus in reading and literacy. I have been teaching first grade for over 16 years and love teaching small groups and one on one in my classroom. I work extremely hard to tailor my lessons to meet each student's need because this is when the most progress is seen! With this passion in mind, I have recently started tutoring after school and love it!
I like to engage learners in lots of fun as we learn. Little bodies can only take so much learning before a break so I like to incorporate movement and short activities to keep learning fresh and exciting. I am trained in Orton-Gillingham, Heggerty, LETRs, and many other intervention programs. I have used many curriculums both in reading and math so adapting lessons to meet what programs they are using at school or at home will be no problem!
