I decided to join an overseas scholarship journey to earn my Masters in the United States at Ball state university. I worked in several different capacities in the United States: I worked as the primary teacher in daycare and translator for Arabic new parents. Plus, the volunteer jobs that I did on campus and out campus. For example, I was translator volunteer at the Ball Memorial Hospital for about two years by helping Arab speaker who has zero English. Teaching Arabic class for an American adult was my essential volunteer duty in Muncie community. Moreover, I covered two positions on the Ball State University campus. Working at the International Office helps new students to find translated forms and face to face translation.
I am currently earning my EdD in Science Education from Ball State University. I also serve as a graduate assistant at the Rinker Center for International Programs, which has increased my skills in working with different cultures and planning and coordinating events, as well as enhancing my written and spoken English skills.
Studying in different departments (Nutrition, Gerontology, Natural Resource, and Environmental Management, which is under the umbrella of Science Education) taught me to take multiple perspectives and use critical thinking. In my Maters, I did a creative project, which encouraged me to cook every dish and take pictures of it. That helped me build skills in a variety of computer programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, publisher, and more.

Since I came to the USA in 2008, I am helping and working in many positions as translator. Teaching Arabic class for one year, encouraged me to go further and provide help with research about Syrian refugees. Teaching my son Arabic is y every day task.
