Hi, my name is Willem. I acquired my high school diploma from a nationally ranked college prep school in Indiana. I am currently on my way to earning a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a minor in computer science from Ball State University. I am expected to graduate in spring of 2028.

In my time as a college student, I have learned the importance of one-on-one teaching. Whenever I struggled with a homework problem or assignment, one of the first things I would do is if I could not figure it out, I would go to the professor’s office hours. These meetings with the professors greatly improved my understanding of the course. I hope to give each of my clients a similar comprehension boost in their respective subjects.

I have just under two years of tutoring experience at the Ball State Learning Center tutoring mathematics, physics, and computer science. At the Learning Center I worked with Ball State students with various needs at different stages of their academic career. These needs could be something as simple as reviewing a practice test in preparation for an upcoming exam or as daunting as catching up after missing a week of class. The classes I tutor the most are Precalculus, Programming Fundamentals, and Calculus I. These are the subjects that I specialize in. During sessions clients usually show me their homework, notes, past exams, or practice exams. While working through each problem, I provide input when necessary. In each session I give my clients the most help possible.
