Hello, I’m Dr. H! I am a compassionate teacher with a ton of experience teaching ancient languages (Latin, Greek) and the ancient world (literature, civilization, history). I earned an M.Ed. with teaching certificate (Latin) from Ohio State University and a Ph.D. in Classical Studies from Duke University. In addition to being a veteran and compassionate teacher, I am an expert in the field, having authored several articles and books in international venues.
I have been teaching almost three decades now, in a wide variety of contexts and to a diverse range of students: undergraduate and graduate students, high school, junior high, and elementary school students. I try to communicate to students my passion for the subjects that I teach and study. One of my favorite parts of teaching is connecting with students. I look forward to hearing from you!
