My name is Rylee, and I graduated from Ball State University in May 2024 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. While I am not yet certified, I am only one Praxis exam away from completing the certification process. One of the most rewarding experiences during my time at university was a course where I had the opportunity to teach a different lesson each week in a Kindergarten classroom. Additionally, I greatly valued my student teaching experience, as it was during this time that I truly began to embrace my role as an educator. It provided an opportunity to apply everything I had learned throughout my academic journey, while also allowing me to observe and learn from my mentor teacher. My mentor's guidance was instrumental in shaping my understanding of the type of teacher I aspire to be.

I am currently working as a substitute teacher across various schools, covering grades K-8. This experience has been invaluable in helping me identify the grade levels I am most passionate about teaching, while also enhancing my ability to handle diverse classroom situations. In addition, I have over a year of tutoring experience, assisting students in 2nd and 5th grades. During my student teaching experience in a 2nd-grade classroom, I had the opportunity to lead both full-class lessons, as well as small group and one-on-one instruction, further developing my teaching skills and approach.

I want to provide the students I tutor with personalized support, fostering a positive learning environment where they feel encouraged, motivated, and equipped to reach their full potential.
