Hello! I'm Page, I've been a special education teacher for 24 years specializing in English, reading (phonics through comprehension), writing and study skills. While not as much of a strength as English, I can also explain math. My life is currently in flux and I'm transitioning out of the classroom and into tutoring. I love to give kids tools that they can use in the classroom to help them become more independent in their own learning. I'm also good at adapting to different learning styles, explaining concepts in different ways and gradually releasing that to the student until they understand.
I enjoy meeting kids where they are and help pushing them to new heights. I also love it that moment kids "get it" or the light bulb goes off.
In addition to my licenses in Mild Disabilities, I have an English and reading specialist licenses. I enjoy teaching literature, reading and writing. I also have a unique perspective since I specialize in students with mild disabilities. I can explain things in an easy to understand way.
Fun fact, I'm a yoga teacher and can add in breathing or other things for students with anxiety, test anxiety, depression, etc.
