“**Fantastic Tutor!**”

Math and science were my favorite subjects throughout my formal schooling and I can help any student improve their knowledge in these courses by helping them enjoy the subjects rather than be intimidated by them.

What are my credentials? I have a BS and MS in Aeronautical Engineering and an MS in Mechanical Engineering and as a result

Background Check:
Passed

George is approved to conduct lessons through Wyzant Online. Wyzant Online allows students and tutors to work remotely via video, audio, and collaborative whiteboard tools. For more information about how online tutoring works, check out Wyzant Online.

If you’re interested in online lessons, message George to get started.

George really gets to know his students abilities and tailors his tutoring to their exact needs. He is thorough, patient, and enthusiastic. I highly recommend him!!

I found George extremely helpful in my first college level physics class. Clarification of the beginning material was covered as well as past material I had issues with. All notes taken by him go home with you to which is nice for additional review.

George is currently helping my daughter with trigonometry. She found him very helpful, and able to teach in a way she found understandable. I am very happy to have a resource to help her with this class.

George has a wealth of knowledge in physics, and beyond, that he willingly shares in an engaging and encouraging tutoring lesson. I couldn't be happier with his efforts in teaching me the basics, and helping me through the difficult thought process associated with physics.

George, asked a lot of questions to gauge Laurens abilities in math and then they covered the ACT topics and he asked Lauren to make notecards, which she did on topics they covered. Looking forward to seeing Lauren and George progress through the skills needed to perform well on the math portion of the ACT.

George is a great one on one tutor who is easy to talk to and ask questions, helping you to understand both the concepts of problems and how to carry them out most effectively. Would tutor with again.

My son had a great first lesson with George. He was a little nervous going into it but felt much better after the session. He wants to continue tutoring with George on Pre-calculus. He said he felt comfortable asking George questions and they had a good working relationship right from the start.

He was very helpful to my son and explained the concepts to him really well. Goes out of his way to make sure the student understands the concepts. Would highly recommend.

My son worked with George. He was amazing. Went over exactly what my son was struggling with in Honors Algebra II. Will be back again and again! Thanks so much.

George worked to prep my daughter for her physics test. It is great to see her confidence rise. She is excited about her test after working with George online.

My son clicked with George and we really feel George is going to be a great help to him! Thanks

George helped me with the concepts and formulas that I didn't quite know or understand. I really liked working with him and will continue to on a regular basis from how things went on our first meeting.

Likes to talk a lot. Good teacher. Explains it until I get it. He couldn't help with one problem, said he would email to me with whiteboard discussion.

Fundamental concepts about system control. Cleared my doubts regarding feedback in a general system. Provided practical examples of how methods are used in practice.

George is helping my daughter better comprehend the physics material for her AP class. She says that he is patient, thorough, and he does a great job communicating to me about her progress and the material they are covering. He confirms each upcoming tutoring session, is always prepared, is easily reachable, and provides an informative review to me about each session.

I met with George R. for the first time and I learned really quickly that he was the tutor I have been searching for. He is very informative and very passionate about tutoring, very pleased thus far.

I contacted George because I wanted one on one tutoring for my son as he transitioned from high school to college. I had heard about the difficulty of the Physics course. George has been a terrific resource. I appreciate his specific feedback after each lesson. He has the same sense of pride when tutoring. He is readily available with a flexible schedule. We are very lucky to have found him.

Math:

Algebra 1,
Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra is often the first math course a student takes that they exclaim "I just don't get it". Algebra involves nothing new mathematically, just adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. It is essentially a method of logical steps to find an answer. It CAN be a fun course. It CAN be very useful in everyday life, not just for the math aspect, but for learning how to think through problems in a logical way.

As with Algebra 1, I can help you get a better grasp of the concepts of Algebra 2, leading to understanding instead of confusion. We will start with simple problems that you can relate to and as you gain confidence in your abilities, move on to more and more complicated problems.

Mastery of calculus opens the door to many fields such as physics, engineering, business and medicine. My engineering background gives me a deep understanding of calculus and how it is used to solve real world problems. Some calculus problems can be solved exactly and others require the use of a computer to estimate a solution. I have used both methods to answer calculus questions and can help you with either method.

Geometry is often one of the first courses a high school student takes that involves the use of logic and proofs and can be intimidating at first. Geometry builds from the simple to more complex proofs to solve more and more difficult problems. If you are struggling to understand the basics or the more complex problems, I am confident that we can work together to boost your understanding and your grades!

I have taken many hours of math coursework at the undergraduate and graduate level while studying engineering. Linear Algebra was one of the required courses for completing an undergraduate degree. After learning the theory behind linear algebra, I used the knowledge to solve engineering problems, using both manual and computational techniques, in several other courses such as dynamical systems, vibrations, systems control and computer graphics.

I have a BS and MS in Aeronautical Engineering and an MS in Mechanical Engineering (PhD ABD). I have taught and tutored at the college level while working on my graduate degrees in both Aeronautical and Mechanical engineering. Courses taught include Statics, Thermodynamics, and Wind Tunnel Testing Methods. I have tutored Statics, Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics and Aerodynamics.

Physics is at the core of science and engineering. If you need help with high school or college level physics, you've come to the right place. My 30+ years of experience solving physics problems will get you headed in the right direction.

The more math subjects you master, the more job opportunities you will be able to handle. I can help you master any level of math. If you are having difficulties with your Prealgebra course work, it is never too soon to get the help you need to excel.

I can help you master the skills to be successful in your Precalculus course. My engineering background gives me a deep understanding of all math subjects, but especially calculus and precalculus courses. If you intend to move on from precalculus to calculus, I can continue tutoring you as you move up the math food chain!

I can help you master the skills to be successful in your Trigonometry course. My engineering background gives me a deep understanding of all math subjects, but especially calculus and precalculus courses such as trigonometry. If you intend to move on from trigonometry to precalculus or even calculus, I can continue tutoring you as you continue learning higher levels of math.
