I hold a BSN, MSN, and PhD in Nursing Education and am a Certified Nurse Educator. I currently serve as full-time nursing faculty at Indiana University East and have taught traditional and adult learners in classroom, laboratory, simulation, online, and one-on-one settings.
My areas of expertise include medical-surgical nursing, critical care, pharmacology, pathophysiology, dosage calculations, NCLEX preparation, and clinical judgment development. I have also worked as an NCLEX Live Review Educator and item writer, developing NGN-style questions aligned with the Clinical Judgment Measurement Model.
My tutoring approach emphasizes understanding concepts rather than memorizing facts. Sessions are individualized and may include active learning, prioritization frameworks, practice questions, realistic patient scenarios, and test-taking strategies to strengthen clinical reasoning, comprehension, and confidence.
I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing the skills needed for nursing school and NCLEX success. Please contact me to learn more or schedule a tutoring session.
