History has always been my passion. I love to read, research, write and lecture on various historical topics. One of the things I like best about history is the individual stories. There are so many outlandish stories throughout history, that are so unbelievable, you know they can't be made up. My aim at this point in my life is to share my knowledge and passion about history with those I come in contact with. They may be in the classroom, the museum, a tutor session or on the street. By sharing my knowledge, I hope to bring some understanding of the past and some glimpse of the why things are the way they are.
I have a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies, which consists of history, geography and government. I also have a master's degree in American History. I have used these to teach at the college level for the last several years, teaching American History and World Civilization. I also have experience teaching history, geography and government at the high school level.
