Bio

Hi, my name is Donna and my passion and love is teaching children to read. I am a graduate of Madonna University and I am elementary certified K-8 with a Master's degree as a Reading Specialist and Literacy Coach. I am a preschool teacher with much experience in working with struggling readers. I have been teaching and tutoring for over 10 years and the students whom I tutor always improve and show growth. I would be happy to work with your child to develop and enhance their literacy skills.

I have a Bachelor's degree major in Language Arts and have been teaching grammar to young children for five years in the classroom.

I have taught and focused on phonics for eight years in the classroom and during private tutoring sessions. I am one semester away from finishing my Master's in literacy degree in which much additional training in phonics was given. I taught an intervention phonics program for five years.

I am an elementary certified teacher and have been teaching and tutoring for eight years. Preparing my students and teaching them successful study skills and good reading habits comes very natural in my teaching style.
