I have 25 years of experience teaching Spanish and English as a Second Language (ESL). I have taught high school Spanish I - IV Honors and at the university level at MTSU in Murfreesboro, TN, and LSU in Baton Rouge, LA. I am designated as a Highly Qualified Teacher with PK-12 certification. I have a Master of Arts in Teaching Degree and a Doctorate in Education from Baylor University.

In my two decades of teaching experience, I have honed my communication skills with administrators, students, parents, community leaders, and business representatives both domestically and abroad. I believe communication and common sense are the two most important skills to have in education. For the past 12 years, I have led Study Abroad programs in Spain and Costa Rica.

I have tutored students throughout my professional career. I believe creativity is a necessity when learning, and I excel at creating comprehensible input. I am advanced at incorporating technology into lessons, especially visuals such as video, web searches, infographics, Canva, and PowerPoint, and I pay great attention to detail.
