I bring a strong technical background and real world experience to my tutoring. I served in the nuclear navy, where I developed a deep understanding of complex systems, attention to detail, and disciplined problem solving. That experience shaped my ability to break down challenging material into clear, manageable steps. I focus on helping students build both knowledge and confidence in subjects like math and science.
I am a patient tutor who understands that every student learns differently. I use a range of teaching styles and adjust my approach based on how each student responds and progresses. Whether it is visual explanations, guided practice, or step by step walkthroughs, I tailor each session to support real understanding. My goal is not just to help students get the right answer, but to make sure they know how to get there on their own.
I take a professional and supportive approach in every session. I set clear goals, track progress, and adapt based on learning outcomes to ensure steady improvement. I work well with students at different levels and focus on building strong fundamentals that lead to long term success. I am committed to creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills.
Currently, I am working on my PhD at Purdue University, but I want to spend my free time helping those understand the beauty of a great education. One that is well rounded will have doors open for them that they cannot even imagine. I struggled immensely while I was in grade school, it is certainly a wonder how I have been able to come as far as I have academically. Upon reflection, it became clear to me that I needed a mentor. Someone to show me how important learning, and more importantly enjoying the process was. I hope to be this for you!
