Beyond my own research, I have worked as a teaching assistant across lower- and upper-division undergraduate chemistry coursework, leading lab sections, holding office hours, and supporting students through difficult material. I have also mentored high school and undergraduate researchers in laboratory techniques and data analysis workflows, which has sharpened my ability to identify where a student is stuck and find a way through it. I provide tutoring that helps students deepen their understanding of concepts, solve problems, complete assignments, and prepare for exams.
My niche is data analysis and instrumentation within chemical systems, particularly quantitative analysis, analytical chemistry, and instrumental analysis. I have direct hands-on experience with a wide variety of instrumental techniques and am comfortable discussing both theory and practice. Additionally, I tutor MATLAB for chemistry applications, including plotting, regression, numerical calculations, statistics, and code troubleshooting.
My approach is student-centered, emphasizing intuition and pattern recognition within underlying systems. Memorization is rarely the best approach and I aim to find the conceptual framework that comes most naturally to each student while exploring complementary perspectives to expand understanding.
