I have over 15 years of experience in elementary education and hold a master's degree in education. Throughout my teaching career, I've worked with students of varying ages, learning abilities, and academic needs in both classroom and small-group settings.

I have specialized training in Orton-Gillingham, Saxon Phonics, Heggerty, and the Science of Reading. I use structured, systematic phonics instruction to help students strengthen their decoding, fluency, comprehension, and overall reading confidence. I'm experienced in identifying where students are struggling and breaking skills into manageable steps so they can experience success.

In addition to reading and language arts, I have extensive experience teaching elementary math. I understand that students don't all learn the same way, and I adjust my explanations, strategies, and pacing to meet each child's individual needs.

I've also spent three years teaching English virtually through VIPKid, giving me experience keeping students engaged and learning in an online environment.

My goal as a tutor is to create a comfortable, encouraging space where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating their progress. I believe learning should be engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student's needs.
