I am a University of California, Irvine alumnus with a degree in Computer Science and Engineering. I am now a Software Engineer at Microsoft working primarily on code integration and performance monitoring on the Azure Cloud. Beyond my full-time work I have tutored for several years mostly working with students at the end of high school or throughout college. This has included courses from Ap Computer Science A to Data Structures and Algorithms courses. I also volunteer at high schools all around the country to help schools start Computer Science curriculums from the ground up. throughout my Computer Science education, I have been lucky in that I have had professors whose teaching styles served to further develop my passion for computer science and its education. Helping students get started in their journey with Computer Science is incredibly gratifying, and I always look forward to my next opportunity to do so.

I have found that students who are newer to Computer Science have not yet learned how to visualize it properly. It may seem like something as technical as Computer Science may not be reliant on visuals, but it is quite the opposite. The foundations of Computer Science are difficult to visualize but when this skill is built up the path to thinking like a Software Engineer becomes a lot more clear. Building this skill is something I heavily focus on in lessons, and I have had great success using this approach.

I look forward to working with you! Please reach out with any questions at all.

Approved Subjects

C++

C++

I have a BS in Computer Science and Engineering and much of my programming experience has been in C++. I achieved an A average on all of my college-level programming coursework.
Computer Programming

Computer Programming

I have maintained a 4.0 in all of my computer programming classes over the last four years and have tutored many of my piers when they are struggling with courses. Having learned multiple programming languages and getting into some of the more advanced topics in computer science has qualified me to tutor any students ranging from just starting to heading into upper division coursework.
Computer Science

Computer Science

For 3 years I have studied computer courses starting in high school in AP computer science. I have achieved a 4.0 in all coursework relating to computer science and have helped many students in these courses through tutoring services at my school. These things should be sufficient to qualify me as a tutor of computer science for any student heading into upper division coursework. I am currently a Computer Science and Engineering Student at the University of California, Irvine (UCI).
Java

Java

I have taken multiple courses in Java programming, and also in C++. These are both object-oriented oriented programming languages so the knowledge relates really well. I have always maintained a 4.0 grade point average in any computer science coursework and have also tutored many of my friends or piers as I moved up into the higher level courses. All these things considered I feel that I have a solid understanding of Java programming and am well suited for a position tutoring Java.

Amazing C++ Tutor

I had a C++ assignment that was a little complex for me. I sometimes lack confidence when trying to code, but Adrian was very nice and patient. He was able to explain complicated topics about my assignment to me in a way that helped me better understand it. Very good communication skills
