Bio

I have a Master of Arts in History from Ohio State University. I also received an undergraduate degree in Latin and History from Notre Dame. I love History and read books about it all the time. Although my focus in school was Ancient History, I have read across all types of History. Part of my coursework also involved other aspects of American and World History.

I have a Master of Arts in History from Ohio State University. I also received an undergraduate degree in Latin and History from Notre Dame. I love History and read books about it all the time. Although my focus in school was Ancient History, I have read across all types of History. Part of my coursework also involved other aspects of American and World History.

Through high school, college and graduate school, I have had 10 years of Latin. I have also had several years of Ancient Greek. In graduate school I had to be able to read German and French, although I didn't go deeply into these languages.

I took the AP English exam in high school, had Honor's English at Notre Dame and was expected to write at a high level during graduate school.

I feel most comfortable tutoring in History, Latin and English, but I'm happy to help in any way. I can also help with general study skills and forming good habits.

I taught American History at Ohio State University while I was getting my Master's degree there. I read widely in American History. It has always been a subject I love, and I would love to share my passion for it with your student!

I have a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame in History and Latin. I took many classes from the Classics Department there. I also have a Master of Arts in Ancient History from Ohio State University, where I also took several Classics courses. I have also read independently in the Classics for many years (I recently read a new book about Thucydides). I look forward to helping you with your understanding of the Classical world!

I have two sons, one in 6th-grade and one in 7th grade. I volunteered at their elementary school in suburban Columbus, Ohio for all 7 years they attended there (I can provide references upon request). I was a pastor in a large church in Ohio and often worked with the kids in the church (I can provide references from there too). I have often been told I have a good rapport with kids. I am glad to help your elementary student succeed in any subject area!

I took a couple of years of Classical Greek as an undergrad at the University of Notre Dame. I also had to have several Greek classes as part of my Master of Arts in Ancient History from Ohio State University. I have also independently studied Koine Greek as a pastor in a church in Ohio. I took four years of Latin in High School and won a National Latin Exam award as a senior. I went on to study Latin at the University of Notre Dame and received my Bachelor degree in Latin and History. Latin was also an important part of my studies for a Master's degree in Ancient History from Ohio State University. I recently helped a high school teacher pass the teacher certification exam in Latin. I love the language and love to teach it!

I have taken classes at Grace Seminary in Indiana while I worked in Ohio as a pastor. I was a pastor for fourteen years and taught often, not only on the Christian faith, but also on various world religions. In addition, I took classes on world religions in both high school and college.

I have also worked with students on study skills while volunteering at my two sons' elementary school for the last seven years.
