Why Is a CPA Tutoring? Because I Love Education! You might be wondering why a licensed CPA and accounting firm owner is tutoring everything from elementary math and English to graduate-level accounting. The answer is simple: I genuinely love teaching, and I believe education and literacy are among the most powerful tools we can give someone. Helping people learn, build confidence, and reach their goals is something I find incredibly rewarding. I hold an Associate of Science in Business Administration, a Bachelor's degree, and a Master of Science in Accounting. I'm also a licensed CPA with over 20 years of professional experience in accounting, finance, and business management. My teaching experience includes substitute teaching at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, along with tutoring undergraduate and graduate students and providing test preparation support. I'm also a homeschooling mom who develops her own curriculum, creates customized worksheets, designs hands-on learning activities, and aligns lessons with academic standards. I especially enjoy working with children and finding creative ways to make learning engaging and fun. Every child learns differently, and I believe patience, encouragement, and flexibility can make an incredible difference. I'm equally passionate about helping aspiring CPAs succeed. Having completed the CPA Exam process myself, I understand the dedication it requires, and I'd love to help more candidates earn their licenses. I also enjoy teaching accounting, taxation, financial literacy, business planning, and practical skills that students and professionals can use throughout their lives. Whether I'm helping an elementary student understand fractions, a college student improve their writing, a future CPA prepare for an exam, or a business owner understand their finances, my goal remains the same: to make learning approachable, meaningful, and empowering. Education is something I truly value, and I look forward to sharing that passion with students of all ages!

Approved Subjects

Business

Business

I hold an Associate of Science in Business Administration, a Bachelor’s degree, and a Master of Science in Accounting. I am also a licensed CPA and the founder of an accounting and business advisory firm, bringing over 20 years of experience in accounting, finance, and business operations. My professional background extends beyond traditional accounting to include business planning, entrepreneurship, financial management, strategic growth, and operational implementation. I work with business owners at various stages, from developing an initial business concept and evaluating financial feasibility to establishing business systems, understanding legal and regulatory considerations, developing marketing strategies, and improving profitability. As both an accounting professional and a business owner, I bring practical, real-world experience into my tutoring sessions. I enjoy helping students connect academic concepts to actual business situations, making complex topics easier to understand and apply. My goal is not just to help students succeed academically, but to strengthen their critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills so they can confidently apply what they learn.
CPA

CPA

I am a licensed Indiana CPA with a master’s degree in Accounting and firsthand experience successfully completing the CPA Exam process. I help CPA candidates strengthen accounting concepts, identify weak areas, improve study strategy, and build a more organized approach to exam preparation. My tutoring is especially useful for candidates who feel overwhelmed, are retaking a section, or need help turning practice results into a focused study plan. I explain concepts in a practical, step-by-step way and tailor each session to the student’s exam section, review course, and specific areas of difficulty.
QuickBooks

QuickBooks

I am a licensed CPA with more than 20 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and small business finance. I have used QuickBooks to support day-to-day bookkeeping, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, transaction review, and business reporting. I help students and business owners understand not only how to use QuickBooks, but also why the accounting behind each step matters. My teaching approach is hands-on and practical, with clear explanations and real-world examples tailored to the learner’s goals.
Tax Accounting

Tax Accounting

I am a licensed Indiana CPA with an Associate of Science in Business Administration, a Bachelor’s degree, and a Master of Science in Accounting. I also hold an IRS Electronic Filing Identification Number (EFIN) and a Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN), with over 20 years of experience in accounting, taxation, and financial management. As part of earning my CPA license, I successfully passed the Regulation (REG) section of the CPA Exam, which covers federal taxation, business law, ethics, and professional responsibilities. In addition to my academic background, I am the founder of an accounting and business advisory firm where I provide tax preparation, tax planning, compliance, and financial advisory services to individuals and businesses. My tax experience includes individual and business taxation, sole proprietorships, partnerships (Form 1065), S corporations (Form 1120-S), corporations (Form 1120), Schedule K-1 reporting, pass-through entities, trusts and estates, deductions, credits, depreciation, and self-employment taxation. I am also experienced with various professional tax preparation software programs and understand how tax concepts translate into actual returns and real-world financial decisions. As a tutor, I combine academic knowledge with hands-on professional experience to help students understand complex tax concepts rather than simply memorize rules. Whether you're studying tax accounting at the college level, preparing for the CPA Exam, or learning how to apply tax regulations in practice, I focus on breaking down challenging topics, working through practical examples, and strengthening analytical and problem-solving skills. My goal is to help students build a strong foundation in taxation, develop confidence in applying tax laws, and understand not just how to arrive at the correct answer, but why that answer is correct.
