Bio

I am a graduating medical student at Indiana University School of Medicine with a strong academic track record, including selection to Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA). I completed my undergraduate degree with a 4.0 GPA and scored a 522 on the MCAT and a 265 on USMLE Step 2 CK. Throughout medical school, I honored the majority of my clinical clerkships and developed a structured, efficient approach to mastering both preclinical and clinical material. I have also been actively involved in teaching and mentoring, including small-group instruction, peer tutoring, and working as a point-of-care ultrasound instructor.

My approach to tutoring is highly individualized and focused on efficiency and results. I emphasize high-yield concepts, pattern recognition, and test-taking strategy rather than passive memorization. For MCAT students, I focus on passage-based reasoning and building a strong foundation across all sections. For USMLE students, I help break down complex clinical questions, identify common traps, and develop a repeatable framework for approaching NBME-style exams. I tailor each session based on the student’s starting point, whether they are building foundational knowledge or aiming for top percentile scores.

I understand how demanding and stressful these exams can be, and my goal is to make preparation more focused, manageable, and effective. I work with both pre-med and medical students in one-on-one settings and aim to not only improve scores, but also build confidence and clarity in how to approach these exams.

Approved Subjects

MCAT

MCAT

I scored a 522 on the MCAT (131/128/132/131) and have a strong foundation across all sections, with particular strength in Chemical/Physical Foundations and Biological/Biochemical Foundations. Through my preparation, I developed a structured and efficient approach to mastering high-yield content while prioritizing critical reasoning and passage-based strategy. I focus on helping students identify patterns in questions, avoid common traps, and build a repeatable method for approaching both content-heavy and reasoning-heavy passages. I have experience mentoring pre-med students and tailor my teaching to each student’s starting point, whether they are building foundational knowledge or aiming for a top percentile score.
Neuroscience

Neuroscience

I have a strong academic background in neuroscience through both my undergraduate major and medical training, where I have built a deep understanding of neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, and clinical neurology. My experience spans foundational concepts such as synaptic signaling and neural pathways to more advanced topics including neurological diseases and clinical localization. I emphasize helping students connect basic science principles to real-world clinical applications, which makes complex topics more intuitive and easier to retain. I have experience teaching and mentoring students in medical and pre-med settings, and I tailor my approach based on each student’s level, whether they are building foundational knowledge or preparing for advanced coursework and exams.
Personal Statements

Personal Statements

I have extensive experience reviewing and editing personal statements for medical school and residency applications, with a focus on clarity, structure, and authenticity. As a successful applicant with strong academic performance and multiple interviews at competitive programs, I understand what admissions committees are looking for and how to present a compelling narrative. I help students refine their story, strengthen their messaging, and ensure their writing is both professional and genuine without sounding overly scripted. My approach is collaborative and detail-oriented, and I tailor feedback to each student’s goals, whether they are building a first draft or polishing a final version.
Pharmacology

Pharmacology

I have a strong foundation in pharmacology through both my undergraduate science training and medical education, where I developed a deep understanding of drug mechanisms, pharmacokinetics, and clinical applications. I performed well in pharmacology-heavy coursework and on board exams, where applying drug concepts in clinical scenarios is essential. I focus on helping students move beyond memorization by understanding mechanisms, recognizing patterns, and applying pharmacology to real clinical situations. I tailor my teaching to each student’s level, whether they are building foundational knowledge or preparing for exams that require integration of pharmacology into complex clinical questions.
USMLE

USMLE

I scored a 265 on USMLE Step 2 CK and passed Step 1, with a strong foundation in both preclinical and clinical material. Through my preparation, I developed a highly structured and efficient approach to studying that emphasizes high-yield concepts, pattern recognition, and test-taking strategy rather than passive memorization. I focus on helping students break down complex questions, identify common traps, and build a consistent framework for approaching NBME-style questions across subjects. I have experience mentoring medical students at different stages, from those working to pass to those aiming for top scores, and I tailor sessions based on each student’s specific needs and goals.
