Hi there! I’m Elizabeth, and I’m very excited to work together. My pronouns are she/her/hers. I hold a bachelors degree in biological chemistry with a minor in English, magna cum laude, which I earned in 2020 from Culver-Stockton College. While earning my undergraduate degree, I served as a multidisciplinary group- and one-on-one tutor in the learning center where I specialized in biology, anatomy, physiology, cell biology, as well as English and composition. Some of my favorite learning experiences at C-SC that inspired me to pursue teaching included travel studies and research.

In 2020, I began at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine where I earned my masters degree in biomedical sciences. I joined a bone research laboratory, co-authored two research publications, and taught undergraduate courses while completing my degree. I then taught on Marian’s undergraduate campus as an adjunct professor of anatomy and physiology labs.

I am now completing my Masters in Translational Biology Research with a minor in Teaching Life Sciences at Indiana University School of Medicine in the department of Anatomy, Cell Biology and Physiology. In my almost-three years at IU, I’ve researched cardiovascular immunology and taught at graduate and professional levels. I’m passionate about inclusive and accessible STEM education, and breaking the stigma of what a “scientist” looks like! The reality is, a scientist looks like YOU.

My hobbies include crocheting, disc golfing with my partner, and spending time with our pets (Gabby the cat, Mac the border collie, and Moose the chihuahua). I love reading and even have my own personal library full of books I've collected throughout my life. When I can, I adore a good trip. My last big travel was to the Scottish highlands!
