I have my degree in Early Childhood Education and I’m a former classroom teacher with a passion for helping students of all ages, especially older learners, develop stronger reading skills and renewed confidence. I’m trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach and specialize in structured literacy instruction for students who struggle with decoding, spelling, and comprehension, including those with dyslexia or other reading difficulties.
Over the years, I’ve worked with students from elementary through high school in both classroom and one-on-one settings. My experience has shown me that every learner can make meaningful progress when instruction is personalized, engaging, and rooted in evidence-based strategies. I use a multi-sensory, explicit, and sequential approach that helps students truly understand how language works rather than simply memorizing words or patterns.
My sessions are supportive, patient, and designed to meet each student exactly where they are. Whether a child needs foundational phonics intervention or an older student is working to strengthen reading fluency and comprehension, my goal is always the same: to help them feel capable, motivated, and proud of their growth. I believe that reading opens doors, and I’m dedicated to giving every student the tools to walk through them with confidence.
