I hold a strong educational and professional background that equips me to effectively tutor and mentor students across multiple subject areas. I earned my History and Secondary Ed degree from Ball State, and I am currently a high school history teacher, where I have been teaching since August 2021.
In my current role, I have designed and taught a wide range of courses including United States History, Pre-AP World History, Indiana Studies, and Introduction to African American Studies. My instructional methods are grounded in collaborative, student-centered learning, with an emphasis on equity, inclusivity, and academic rigor.
Beyond classroom teaching, I have extensive experience mentoring and coaching students in a variety of contexts. I serve as Assistant Boys Varsity Track Coach, where I develop student-athletes’ discipline, resilience, and teamwork skills.
I have worked primarily with high school students, but my experience extends across collaborative small-group instruction, individualized support, and large classroom settings. Over the course of my teaching career, I have been recognized with the *Always a Miller Award* and consistently earned a *Highly Effective* teacher rating.
Altogether, my experience demonstrates a proven ability to tutor, teach, and mentor students by combining academic knowledge with a mission-driven focus on integrity, empathy, and empowerment.
