Hello! I am a recent graduate of Liberty University with two degrees in Biomedical Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies (Specializations: Fine Arts and Natural Sciences). I graduated Cum Laude and was on the Dean’s list throughout college.
I have experience in one-on-one tutoring for university-level General and Organic Chemistry. For two years, I served as a grader and proctor for these courses, working closely with professors to uphold rigorous academic standards. My responsibilities included grading Organic Chemistry lab notebooks and reports with meticulous attention to detail. I am eager to help students develop effective strategies for their own lab work and scientific writing.
In addition, I was a teaching assistant for a biology lab, where I guided students through dissections and encouraged independent problem-solving using the Socratic method. My academic background spans a wide range of biology and biomedical electives, including medical biochemistry, cell biology, clinical anatomy, microbiology, genetics, embryology, and histology.
Beyond coursework, I have presented original research at two biology symposiums, communicating complex topics to both scientific and general audiences. My laboratory skills include proficiency in qPCR, RNA extraction, cryostat and microtome sectioning, gel electrophoresis, and western blotting. I am happy to walk you through these techniques and help you build confidence in the lab.
As a recent pre-medical student, I am also available to answer questions about the pre-med process, course planning, and the application timeline. I recently completed the MCAT and am currently applying to medical school during my gap year.
I look forward to working with you! Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
