Hi my name is Cash! I am currently studying at Butler University and am a sophomore pursuing a dual major in Accounting and Business Technology & Analytics. Before Butler, I attended Herron High School and am a recipient of the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship, which is a prestigious award given to a select few in the state of Indiana.
My previous tutoring experience was through my high school. I worked in the special education room and served as a tutor for a year. I mainly worked in one on one settings as an aide for students with learning challenges. I describe myself as having a unique ability to simplify concepts so that way people could better understand them. While serving the special needs department, I helped students who had never had above a D in a math class before improve exponentially and towards the end of the year, they were receiving Bs. Aside from being a tutor, I also aided most of my friends in subjects in math that they struggled with. My methodology behind my teaching is to not teach things in the standard way. Often, I find that if people are struggling, it’s because they’ve only viewed it from one approach. I’ve found however that individualized learning can help people excel and pick up new concepts they never thought they’d be capable of grasping.
