Annika grew up on a fourth-generation farm in the northeastern corner of Montana. She finished her Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from Whitman College, where she studied under Dr. David Hyun-su Kim and Carissa Pitkins-Cox. Annika is pursuing a Master’s in Piano Pedagogy at Butler University in Indianapolis, studying with Dr. Kate Boyd and Karen Thickstun.

She presented research the Music Teacher National Association’s Collegiate Conference and holds leadership roles within the university. Her teaching style garners high praise, with students and parents lauding her approach. One student (age 11) described her as a “very nice teacher”, eagerly awaiting lessons, while parents noticed their children’s renewed enthusiasm.
