Hi! I'm Ana, a fourth-year medical student with a passion for helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals. I earned my Bachelor's degree from George Washington University and a Master's degree from Boston University, where I conducted research with Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Throughout my education, I've developed strong study strategies that helped me excel in challenging science courses and medical school.
I tutor a variety of subjects, including biology, anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, neuroscience, psychology, medical school coursework, and Spanish. As a native Spanish speaker, I enjoy helping students improve their conversational skills, grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, and confidence, whether they're learning Spanish for school, travel, or professional use.
My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and individualized. Every student learns differently, so I tailor each session to your goals, learning style, and pace. Whether you're preparing for an upcoming exam, trying to strengthen your foundation in a difficult subject, or looking for long-term academic support, my goal is to help you truly understand the material and become a more confident learner.
Outside of tutoring, I'm actively involved in medical education, research, and mentorship. I love working with students at all levels—from high school and college to medical school—and I genuinely enjoy seeing those "lightbulb moments" when concepts finally click.
I know firsthand how overwhelming challenging subjects can feel, and I'm committed to creating a supportive, judgment-free environment where questions are always welcome. I look forward to helping you reach your academic goals!
