I have had awards and recognition in my own education and teaching: Being on the Dean's list, Top Educational Fraternity member Indiana University, Who's Who in Teachers as well as Who's Who in College Students. Although these awards and accomplishments are nice and show the result of hard work, they don't mean as much to me as seeing my own students reach their goals.
We all are happier, more well-adjusted, and successful when we feel pride and the taste of success. There is no magic age for this to occur. It can happen at every age. We need to celebrate more and criticize less. The results are amazing! Don't be so hard on yourself, you have what it takes. Let's put those skills and your uniqueness to work.
