Greetings Students. My name is John. I have been in the computer/computer networking industry for 10 years. While working in a different labor industry, I began working and building computer on my own. My passion continued to grow for how they work and how operating systems and software work together. On a leap of faith, I quit my job that was a dead end and opened up my own computer repair and building business. It was called "Custom Pc Systems Inc." I opened up a shop near Center Grove High School. I began doing computer repair, virus removal, systems troubleshooting and building custom systems for customers. I became very affective at troubleshooting all kinds of issues that can affect computer operating systems through my intense research capabilities. It was pretty successful at first but wanted to know more in the area of networking. I then took out a loan and attended a Microsoft Academy. I graduated in 2007 from the Academy with 3 Microsoft certifications. I was qualified and was able then to go to customers homes and setup networks as more and more people had more than one computer in the home. Most needed help with setting up routers and printing networks using multiple computers. I continued to work my business and run it until 2008 when I closed the business to take a job working at Eli Lilly. It was a good opportunity to learn more and have a steady income compared to and up and down income when running your own business that is small. There I learned to install high end software and deploy computers to Lilly employees. I had to backup very sensitive data from the old machines that were being replaced to the new one I was deploying. I worked that job for a year but just was not challenging enough for me. I received an opportunity to work for business called "Five Star Technology Solutions" and took it. I was contracted to a local High School where I was responsible for the all of the schools servers, computers, and software. I learned the Novell systems as well as using Microsoft
