I am currently a second year college student on track to be a dental hygiene student. My educational background includes coursework in anatomy and physiology, microbiology, biology, chemistry, English composition, and Calculus. All in which I stood 93% or higher in each class. I have prepared for and taken board exams in the dental field, which strengthened my understanding of clinical knowledge, infection control, patient care, and critical thinking under timed conditions. I also successfully prepared for the ATI TEAS exam, gaining experience in tutoring subjects such as reading comprehension, English grammar, math, and science. Scoring a passing score on all my exams and currently standing at an 82 on my TEAS with one more attempt to go.
Before entering dental hygiene school, I worked as a dental assistant, where I gained hands-on clinical experience and a deep understanding of dental terminology, radiology, chairside procedures, sterilization protocols, and patient communication. This background allows me to tutor students who are pursuing dental assisting, preparing for board exams, or working toward acceptance into dental hygiene programs. I am able to connect textbook concepts to real clinical situations, which helps students better understand and retain information.
I have also volunteered as a tutor from high school through college, working with middle school, high school, and college students. My approach focuses on breaking down complex material into simple, manageable steps while building confidence through practice and repetition. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s needs, whether they require foundational support, structured study plans, or test-preparation strategies. My goal is to help students feel capable, prepared, and confident in reaching their academic and professional goals.
