I always had an interest in business from a young age and chose to go to Marquette University, where I got a dual degree in accounting and finance. While in school I worked independently as a bookkeeper for small businesses and at an accounting firm doing tax work. I then wanted to pursue a masters degree and am currently getting my MBA at the University of Notre Dame, where I graduate this May.
I started tutoring during undergrad, primarily helping freshman and sophomore business students pass their introductory accounting, finance, and economics courses. Since then I’ve also started tutoring higher level undergrad courses and masters level courses. I’ve helped more than 100 students improve their grades and confidence in these subject areas!
My goal as a tutor is to give the student confidence and problem solving skills that will help them long after our lesson is done. I know from experience sometimes these classes pack a lot of information into short periods of time and a student just needs some extra time to understand the foundational concepts.
