I trained and served for three years as a skilled group facilitator who guided participants through studies of the Bible. I am spiritually mature, committed and have a servant’s heart. My background in assisting students with master's level research papers adds to my expertise in examining biblical subjects for understanding.

Business

Business is a good curriculum to pursue. No matter what we do in life, there is some element of business involved. If you want to learn about business from a teacher who brings to the learning experience things I have done and learned while running my own business, let’s get started. I bring to the classroom enthusiasm and passion for learning in all areas of my expertise. Students appreciate my attention to detail as well as the one-on-one approach they sense as they take my classes. General Computer

Are you a person who is “intimidated” by computers? Don’t be! Learning about computers and working easily on them is not difficult. Taking computer classes with me means learning the basics in a simple, easy to learn format. Even if you’ve never sat down in front of a computer to use it before, you will benefit from a learning experience in my class. My computer skills include teaching things from turning on the computer, creating a document, saving and printing the document, to using the Internet. My basic general computer class will enable you to use the computer to complete many basic life tasks such as: writing letters, making greeting cards and even paying your monthly bills. Don’t be “bullied” by a computer; take charge of it!

Microsoft Publisher

I have taught subjects in the Microsoft Office environment for many years. I have also been a small business owner of a desktop publishing company where I used Microsoft Publisher software.

Microsoft Windows

I taught students in a two-year college for over seven years in the subject of Microsoft Office which included Introduction to Microcomputers. This course introduced students to the Windows environment and presented basic knowledge of hardware before addressing software.

Public Speaking

Do you freeze up when asked a question in front of a group? Do you stumble through words when talking to a group of people? Is it difficult for you to complete your class presentations? Taking a Public Speaking class from me will help you address these concerns. I have taught Presentation Fundamentals for many years and have talked to many audiences—on radio, on television, and in auditoriums. I also served as Vice President of Public Relations for a well-known nonprofit organization. Yes, I still am a little nervous when I do this, but I have mastered the task of getting in front of people to talk and can help you do the same. In my class, you will learn some firsthand tips for improving your confidence, making eye contact with your audience, and talking on topics that interest you and your audience.
