I am a neurodivergent (AuDHD) educator with 10+ years of experience of in-person and virtual instruction including multiple age groups, several science disciplines, GED/HSE subjects, and English as a second language (ESL).
I have always been curious and fell in love with learning early on. That love has continued into adulthood and is reflected in my educational background. I have a bachelor's of science degree in chemistry with a minor in mathematics, and a master's of science degree in secondary education with a minor in chemistry. I have been a certified 8-12 science teacher in Texas since 2012, and in Indiana since 2025.
I have taught to a variety of levels and in a variety of environments, including community college, public high school, homeschool co-op, and virtual instruction. I began teaching small groups and 1:1 classes virtually in 2020 and have never looked back. I absolutely love it! The subject areas I currently teach and/or tutor are biology, chemistry, physics, life sciences, physical sciences, and English as a second language.
My teaching style creates a positive, low-stress environment with plenty of opportunity for student interaction without forcing or making anyone uncomfortable. I strive to create a safe, comfortable space for students to learn, ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. Every student has unique needs and I will always do my best to honor them. I look forward to hearing from you and working with you to create the positive, successful educational experience that I believe we can create together!
