I'm a physics graduate from PFW. I am currently a Limited Term Lecturer in the physics department while looking into graduate schools.

I took high level courses, such as Differential Equations and Quantum Mechanics. I self studied General Relativity for my senior thesis, which incorporated Non-Linear Partial Differential Equations and Differential Geometry.

Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I am a physics major and am getting a math minor. I've taken seven college level math courses at IPFW and use all of it regularly, including Algebra 2.
Differential Equations

Differential Equations

I took this course, among others, at IPFW and regularly use it in physics classes. I have used it in Lagrangian mechanics, electronics (time dependent analysis of circuits), and will be using it very frequently this semester in Coherent Optics/Quantum Electronics (500 level course) and Mathematical Methods for Physicists (also a 500 level course [100 level is freshman, 200 sophomore, etc.]). Also, when I took this course, I helped 2 of my friends get through it that were taking it at the same time as me.
Drums

Drums

I played drums in elementary, junior high, and high school. I was squad leader in marching band. I played snare, bass, and quads. I now play drums in my metal band we've been together for 5-6 years and are about to record our first album. I can read music. I can sight read percussion music. I've played drums for 6 musicals now: 3 at eastside HS and 3 at leo HS.
Geometry

Geometry

As a physics major, I'm sure you can imagine we do a lot of math. I am also going to graduate with a minor in math, which includes 3 semesters of analytic geometry.
Linear Algebra

Linear Algebra

I took linear algebra in college. I regularly apply it to find principal axes in physics problems, or to change an equation with cross terms to an equation without cross terms (I suppose this would be non linear algebra, since you have x1*x2 terms and x1^2, etc. but the same principles apply). I regularly use eigenvectors and values to find normal modes of oscillation in mechanical systems, or to solve differential equations. Linear algebra comes up a lot in physics.
Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering

I graduated from Purdue with a bachelors degree in physics. I excelled in Mechanics, Intermediate Mechanics, and Quantum Mechanics. In these classes, we studied Newtonian, Lagrangian, and Hamiltonian Mechanics. I also took a 500 level (graduate level) instrumentation course, which focused on design, measurement, feedback and control systems. I have also tutored physics students on many of the matters covered in ME courses.
Physics

I have a B.S. in physics and am currently a teacher at Purdue in Fort Wayne.

Very knowledgeable in a tough subject matter.

Tyler did a great job helping my son prep for a physics test and will be using him in the future. He conveyed information in a manor that made it easy to grasp. Thank you!

Excellent tutor. Really helped my son.

Tyler is an excellent tutor. My son said he was comfortable instantly. Easy to understand and helpful with thorough explanations. He made up his own examples on the fly instead just relying on my son’s book and notes. My son asked if he could meet with him again this weekend, so I’d say that says a lot! He was able to meet in person at PFW. It has been hard to find a tutor that will meet in person on Wyzant. So, if you’re in Fort Wayne or surrounding areas, he is your guy for math and science. We plan on using him next year and throughout the summer to keep his math skills up. He can also tutor science, so we plan on using him for physics too. I wish I had found him sooner. It would have saved a lot of headaches of me trying to relearn math to teach my son! Thanks Tyler!

Knowledgeable and very nice tutor.

My son thought he was very nice. He helped my son understand the work better than his teacher. Thank you and we'll be utilizing him on a regular basis.
